How do I decide which size drag mat to order? Remember: All mats are adjustable left to right in 1.00" increments in the brackets. They can be centered on rear broom or staggered to either side if desired.
Choosing a width depends on the infields you will groom, how you want to groom, whether you want to overlap the broom ends, etc.
Do you intend to groom base paths on infields with grass (Baseball)? Or, do you only groom "all skin" infields without grass (Little League of Softball)?
If you choose a drag mat that is wider than the rear finishing broom then it will overlap the ends of the broom (when centered), but it also forces you a bit further away from
the grass edge when you groom. Normally those who only groom "all skin infields" will choose the 78" drag mat on a 72" wide groomer.
Usually those who intend to groom their base paths on baseball infields want a narrower drag mat so they choose the 72" drag mat for a 72" wide groomer.
For PR90 groomer owners our 84" drag mat (widest we offer) is the best choice.
